Value of 1970's sensor touch LED

Happy New Year to All, I am trying to sell an Advance touch sensor led watch that works, no scratches. On the back it is signed Macy's. I paid $75.00 for it and only wore it a few times, when I tried to sell it on epay for $75.00 a bunch of folks watched it but no bids. I dropped the price $20.00 even though I thought it was worth a lot more. Should I just keep it for awhile or take my chances at $55.00

The basics for selling are lots of good clear sharp pictures (don't forget to show all the functions working) and a brief description stating the make, functions and the condition of the watch. I take it you were selling the watch on Ebay out of past experience I've found if you start the auction at a low starting price it works quite well if the auction doesn't look like it will make what you want you can always cancel it with 12 hours to go.

Thank's for getting back to me. Even at $54.00 and 12 pictures no one has bid on it and the auction ends tomorrow night. I think I will take your advice and if no one bids on it by tomorrow morning I will just keep it.

Touch Sensor watches can be problematic, so many steer away from them. if one is the tinkering type, those modules make a nice basis for a "hybrid project", since the modules are about as thin as they get. Albeit, the numbers are not the biggest. And of course, this economy doesn't help - those who are relatively unscathed are going for the higher-end stuff, which is available at great prices, whilst those who are being buffeted by this economy can't even bring themselves to buy entry-level pieces like you are offering.

Thank You RetroLeds, Everything you said makes sense. The avionics shop where I worked for 18 years closed just before Christmas. I lost my vacation time and no severance, we were just told to pack up our test instruments and tools. Nice huh?

That sucks! I had that happen once - I was 26, had two young kids and was working in a smaller tool & die shop. The owner had me order an awful lot of grinding wheels and other supplies since I headed up the grinding department. I come in the Friday before Christmas and he had the building emptied except for our tool boxes which were lined up by the door - he had our last checks in hand, "no need for your services any longer". I was stunned - they had moved grinders that could handle parts that were 8' X 3' X 3 feet( 2.6 meter X 1 meter X 1 meter), lathes. mills, everything, in less than 10 hours. And as it turned out, he hadn't paid our health insurance premiums for the last 4 months. Karma got back to him - his new partners at a new location shafted him out of his share of the business a year or so later. And some say there is no God!

We were a small shop, about 12 employees and they also stopped paying our health insurance company but took the money out of our paychecks, plus they stopped paying for social security and tax witholding for 4 months. By the time we figured out what happened the owner and family moved back to India.

My Macys touch sensor watch has a broken casing which I don't believe is 'fixable' (watch strap arm broken), so I'm now looking to see if anyone has one to sell me to replace mine.

Here are some photo's of my Macy's





This picture is of the broken wrist strap arm. The spindle hole was damaged and I decided to re-drill the hole (just a little deeper), but accidentally drilled right through, so now it's open ended. I've 'pinched' the open ends together around the spindle, and it seems to hold but it's not ideal.



Are these pictures ok?
