Look for ebay listings of broken mechanical pieces of those brands, that still have original band. But getting a seller to measure the buckle is asking a lot on a broken piece. Not an easy quest, for sure. Or buy branded bands of the correct lug size that have the marked buckle. Using search string of "Mido watch band" I came up with a number of buckles and some bands like this.

cheers for advise,i have attempted simular,either fake mido or very expensive
the bulova s/s buckles seem evan harder to find,anyway thats the deal with old items just keep on plugging away.lol
