I bought mine in the summer of 1997 in Covent garden (I remember it because I met my wife that Summer). It was the P2 "look a like" and I wore it every day until it wore through to the brass in roughly about 2004 (by which time both of the button contacts were made of old Carlsberg cans).
Actually come to think of it I was wearing it at the birth of my son AND I only got into collecting these bloody watches because a bloke came up to me in a bar one evening (2001), took a look at it and said "Oh - it's just a Fossil - I thought it was a proper Pulsar..."
Three weeks later I'd bought my first P2. For loads of money - from Canada. It arrived dead, went back to be fixed took ages to come back then lasted about a week before going "0". I've got 4 of them now. All working .
Great watch that Fossil. Always kept perfect time and I never realised how pants the display was. Oh yeah - 1997
