NOS Hamilton LED in box

Post11 Nov 2009, 19:23

I got this a few months ago and just put the batteries in yesterday; thought I'd share: Ladies white gold-filled with 901 led mvt. works great. I like how the numbers are made up of visible dots.

I like that display - big and bright! Or maybe it just looks big because it's in a small lady-sized watch?

No wonder that it looks good; it's the same display used in the Pulsar P2 and P3 [and a couple others...the Omega Constellation and at least one other...make escapes me at the moment, but I am sure it's out there]. Many regard this as the gold standard of attractiveness in LED displays. I most say, though, having finally acquired a Limited Edition calculator with the dot display, it gives this a run for its' money [and it is NOT the same display; I thought it might be, but it's not].

Thanks for the info! This is a dynamite little watch, the display is so bright, and everything is so very clean.

That sure is a sharp little Hamilton.

Now all you need is the tiny, tiny ladies Hamilton model and you'd have a complete Daddy Bear - Momma Bear - Baby Bear family of Hamiltons:

Both the QED and QTC use Time Computer modules...so they don't count. Still can't think of the other make that does use the Pulsar-style display. I'm going through the alphabetical LED pics on the other site...I'll find it eventually [maybe even one or two I didn't know about!].

I'm pretty sure Frontier used them on the modules with the spring making contact to the case. I'll have a look to see if I can find one (and I do remember Azimuth did a nice Omega TC1 Frankinstein a few years back using a Frontier module).
