Gold filled Date II

Post27 Jan 2010, 01:07

I was looking through Oldpulsars site a while back and noticed a picture of a gold filled Date II 3250, the Date II is my favorite Pulsar and its something I'd like so I started watching Ebay to see if anything came up, not a thing not even a beat-up case nothing.

Its mentioned on Oldpulsars website as being very rare...so does anyone on here own one...???

Yes, I have one. I know there has been some doubts about this model as one came up for auction with a very suspicious date button, which looked like someone had punched it out themselves. I purchased one a few years back and looks like it was done at the factory. I do have better pictures, but here are some from when this topic was talked about before. Even the module looks different. If I remember this is an auto set which makes it even more interesting. I will have to check. I'm no Pulsar electronics expert but does this module look like someone has tampered with it. I'm still puzzled with this Pulsar. Would be great for some answers.

I think that module looks legit...they seem to have gone back and forth on covering with silicone, covering with paint and leaving bare-necked'.

A gold-filled Date II is seemingly very rare.....I've only seen one out of hundreds of Pulsars, and it wasn't mine to keep - repair job.

No, I bid on this one when it showed up, but Lloyd edged me out...so, with all due respect, I think I have a prior dibs on this one, if he ever decides to sell, right, Lloyd?
