ok, I heard back from the seller. This is what he had to say:

hi, this watch is complicated for a non watch person (me). buttons to work each function. 1 function has a part of a number missing as shown in the picture. the other functions have nothing missing?? you make the call either way you lose nothing.


Seller offered to refund shippign if I have to return it, so I told them to go ahead and ship it for me to take a look.

What do you guys think? It soulds like one segment is dead on one digit, but only using one function and not the others???

I would go with that... but I'm a newbie myself. Really nice of the guy to offer to do that!
