hi abe..thanks for the picture.
it certainly is a identical watch case to the Carter pictured.
iam not sure what this is.theres no markings on the case at all.
as always on DWF any info is well recieved.

p.s to all who use this forum,
posting your new LED watch finds is always helpful to other watch collectors,this opens up the area of collecting and certainly in my case
has given me ideas on models i now wish to aquire for my collection.
some on here see it as "showing off" not at all.share your watch finds !!

hi bruce. 5 of 5 good question.lol ..my digi cam decided to pack up
so i shall post watch 5 pics in a day or so.
its rather a odd one,a bulova.but no bulova ive ever seen before.

I shall contact retroleds in regards to all the pics of my collection.
for use within the led archieve, if he wants them.lol

I really don't think so. TI always had thier logo on the watch, even if it rubbed off the crystal there would still be either the indentiation on the crystal, or it would say 'Texas Instruments' on the caseback.
If it's a Hughes module like the other square watch pictured, then it's definitley not TI. TI made their own modules.
But it's still a cool watch (not a fan of the band though... )

The calender is probably just clipped into the band by two prongs on each side(but yeah, crazy little idea, to say nothing of the yearly paper change ). Some people really like a vintage flex band so I always hang on to the ones that are particularly nice. Some have very nice patterns.. a favorite of mine has a fine honeycomb pattern in it's heavy gold fill. I can almost imagine bees going in and out of the holes. A nice mesh band like the Hughes picture would be good, IMO. Find one with a butterfly type clasp and it is easy on/off the wrist.

Aye - I have a few and I like them. Not something I would put on a Pulsar or Synch, but they work great for my Phasars and TI models.
I just don't like when they are too skinny! That on in the pic looks like a ladies band IMO.... but to each their own. I realize FunkyGuy has got to live up to his name!

A black 'crockadile' leather band would go well with that Square jobbie....

Skinny: I took a quick look(I keep all flexys together, all two-toned band together,etc.) - seems I haven't kept anything thinner than 16mm, have a handful that are 19-22 mm and even one gold-tone one that has a first link that is 24mm wide!

Snakeskin(python my favorite), eel, stingray, shark and ostrich are all nice organic materials that have fine patterns which go nicely against items with large flat surfaces. Stingray is so finely pebbled it looks almost like sandblasted metal. They are backed with cowhide of some sort for strength. I know, I know, most of you don't like leather bands. And yes, crocodile is always a very accessible and stylish choice. Most are raised on farms so they are a renewable resource on a certain level.

As for the crockadile - I guess they are an 'eco-choice', renewable, stylish and edible. I've had beer battered, deep fried croc before and it's quite tasty.

jeeez!! u guyz..all this talk of bands..but yes my preferance is normally
reptile etc..iam normally not a fan of steel bands at all.
but this crazy calender band kind of adds to the watches charm..lol..

none so far..but now have a few very odd funky models iam seeking to buy.
