Correct module for Sicura?

Post23 Mar 2010, 22:40

I need the correct module for this watch, it does have a module fitted but I'm pretty sure it is not original - the display is very low
and the module doesn't appear to fit inside the case as it should.

Would anyone have a spare module to sell or if anyone knows which other models (if any) used the same module I could keep a look out for one on eBay.

Mick:
What's the movement size and button position. Many manufacturers made modules in "display centered" and "display offset" variations. Hughes, NS, Frontier and Fairchild for starters.

One command button at 2 o'clock, set button at 3 o'clock, the module measures 25mm.

Photo of the module (apologies for the poor quality)

Well, I looked at anumber I have here and all seem to be centered display on 25-26mm, with the exception of one white chassis Hantronix....

Bummer, cool case.

mick.
ive just checked my sicura module.
it appears to be the same as yours.
the display is also correct.
check peter wenzigs site and his sicura pictures .
same display arrangement.

module should have a small nipple which helps sit the module snug into the case.

Thanks FG.

The module fits OK but it is not the original one, there are no lugs on the outside of the plastic housing to line up with the grooves at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions and more tellingly it has had some solder work done on the display contact to make the command button reach, this is most evident in the first photo.

I would be curious to know where the display sits on the original module, is it off-set or across the centre?
