Is this a good buy?

I am currently negotiating the purchase of a Tiffany & Co. SS P2. The watch seems to be in good working condition from an owner that took good care of the watch. The display shows a slightly dimmer digit (third from the left). Other than the dim digit the watch shows only minor wear. From my research I have read that a dim digit may simply be a result of a weak or incorrect battery. I don't remember specifically which battery the owner said he used but I know it was not a 357.

So, what do you think? Is $300 a good price for this watch? :)

Boy, I hate pictures like this...good enough to show you basically what's there, but just out-of-focus enough to obscure all fine detail. Anyway, to the watch itself...not a battery problem. Onset of battery exhaustion dims all the digits down equally, until toward the very end, when the number of segments lit determines a digits' brightness [in other words, a 1 brighter than a 0, a 7 brighter than a 5]. But here, the 0 [six segments lit] is brighter than the 2 [five segments lit], so something else is going on; my guess is a failing digit driver transistor. Not a calamity, if I'm right; it's a repairable defect. Personally, I'd rather have a more ordinary one with a perfect, bright display, but, it's your money, and only you can make the value judgement.

The 'Tiffany & Co' crystal does add to the value, at $300 I don't think it's a bad price but obviously you would have to factor in any potential repairs the module may require.

Thank you both for your replies. The seller was originally asking $350. Through an offer and counter-offer we have arrived at $300. He does not seem to be terribly tech savvy and had to borrow a camera to even get the photos that he did. I wonder what a repair might cost.

He is an interesting guy, though. He told me that when he originally bought this P2 he didnt really like "Tiffany & Co." on the time screen but at the time they were the only ones that sold them. He says that he had quite a few different LEDs through the years including Hamiltons, Omegas, and a Synchronar. In addition to the P2 he has a see through Omega Chronomaster for sale.
