Uranus Calc watch. retrofit.

Post14 Oct 2010, 03:32

Customer sent me a Uranus Calculator watch(notoriously fragile movement) and unfortunately, the solar cell had came loose at one end and had swung around, destroying virtually every wire bond of the display and some other sections. The case has four buttons on the sides - using a Quasar/Armitron/Saturn 29mm module, which already has contacts at almost the perfect position for either the top or bottom set of side buttons, this watch now is a nice timekeeper, albeit with no calculator function. The Uranus module is just a little below 31mm, so a plastic shim was placed at one end of the module.

I agree - it's very cool 8-)
Even if the calc functions are not operational.
