LED Art?

Post03 Nov 2010, 06:41

Ok, maybe not "art", but perhaps "kinda neat" or at least "slightly amusing".

Last night I was waiting for my computer to finish some image processing and while I was sitting there in the dark, I picked up my camera and started snapping some photos of my LED watch display. Due to the display flickering, you can get some kinda neat spirograph like results (I always wanted a spirograph as a kid).

These are almost as abstract as some of the eBay photos I've seen.

Hm, nice :-D
Do you also have a Majestyk watch? Is has a weird multiplexing scheme, not digit by digit.

No, I don't have a Majestyk. What is weird multiiplexing? Sounds technical!

In the center photo, you can see the order that the digits are multiplexed. It actually goes: colon, 1st digit, 2nd digit, 3rd digit, 4th digit instead of 1st digit, colon, 2nd digit, 3rd digit, 4th digit.
