Wanted: A module for my Microstar

Post19 Jan 2011, 17:19

I need a new/replacement module for my Microstar (or equivalent). Shows time- hour, minute, seconds and date (day of week and month and date. 29mm wide by 7mm thick...has gold tone batter contacts in battery wells. This is a uniquely styled octagonal shaped case/face with the little screws in each corner and the band is also differently shaped links. I would like to get this running again if possible...anyone that can help let me know. Thanks.

: Wanted: A module for my Microsonic

Post20 Jan 2011, 01:20

Now that's a nice watch... :O`~ ...hexagonal and octagonal led watches are my favourite, is it solid stainless.

I'am sure I saw this on Ebay recently but I thought it had a Hughes 25mm module inside so I didn't go for it....damm...

Can you post a picture of the battery contacts on the module.

Dear Led-Time, hi...let me make a correction, the watch is a 'Microstar' not Microsonic...my bad! hehehee....anyway i have a photo of the watch module battery compartment, it is 29mm actually, i remeasured it to see if I was right...yahh, you did see it on ebay recently...this is it! I just won it last week near the end of the week? anyway I would like to get a compatible module for it cause it is a nice watch...I think I'd like to hold onto it for a while...I put in a request to Ed (Cantarella) maybe he has something floating around...? I was putting new batteries in and I heard a crack, and i immediately said oh _ _it!! I dont know why it cracked....but i feel terrible now...ohhhhhh....let me know your thoughts or ideas.....I dont know how to get another module like this one because it says Microstar USA around the positive battery mark on the inside....and I'm not sure if it can be replaced unless it is an identical module...there must be something compatible to it I'm hoping at least....ohh well _ _it happenzz! Heheeehee... :x

yahhh...now that u mention it, it just might...i might have to put in one of those rubber gasket thingys first because the Hughes is a bit thinner (of thickness) than the Microstar one...I'll have to give it a try...I haven't heard back from Ed yet, I think he's real super busy right now...but yahh! thanks for the idea, I'll have to try it and let u know how it worked or didn't work-hehehehehee. ;-) :-D
