That won't do you a bit of good(minority status)...Filipino isn't a group they care about. Basically only black or Native American. I'm 1/8 NA, so my kids would technically qualify. As far as I know none of my sibling has ever tapped into THAT racket. Despite 5-6 BAs, 2 Masters and 2 law degrees between the 5 of us.
Save money toward college - better yet, make sure the are GREAT students so you can tap into some scholarships. My oldest girl was in top 1% nationally on pre-college testing, which got us about $25k in scholarships, spread over 4 years. Her younger sister scored the same but is going back to boost her math score, since she wants to go into either psychology or engineering(strange stretch, I know). A professional scholarship hunter is worth the money to many people. I'll gladly pay someone 10% of what they can find, that I couldn't. Maybe there is a scholarship for "children who endured LED watches during primary years".
Some times the flat tax system sounds really sweet. UK citizens, this is your opportunity to say it ain't so.
