Can anyone identify this 1976 watch?

Post28 Nov 2011, 22:06

I just joined this forum and have thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the information found on this site.

In 1976, I purchased this watch from a jewelry store. Unfortunately, I lost the back case of the watch years ago and am having trouble identifying it.

I have attached pictures. I haven't clean it up yet - but will research your site to find out how. :-D

Also, being a newbie on this topic - does anyone happen to have or know of anyone that I might purchase the following:
1. case for this watch
2. watch band parts or whole band that would fit on this
Thank you in advance for your responses!

Welcome to the forum!

I'm afraid I don't know your watch, but that blue and green stuff inside doesn't look good at all: there's some probability the module is corroded beyond repair. At first I'd try to get it running again, or maybe find a replacement that fits. Some other people here can identify any module at a glance and tell you which replacment might fit.

Looks similar to some Seemos watches I've seen but I'm not sure.

Thank you Ade1, DrLaser and Rewolf for your kind responses. Well then, it looks like the first thing to do is to purchase a module and back case for it to get it up and running. I appreciate your feedback!

I have never seen this exact watch. But it is very old for this kind of watch. It has a well made case and quality band. The interior has a similar set up to the Uranus watches of that period I have seen. (2 batteries, plastic holder for the works, a encased chip set vertically in the case, simple red face, a pressed metal holder that holds the battery in place .) Based on that I would say it is one theirs. Probably a battery operated model, rather than a solar model.
This is my best guess. I have never found anything printed

the ladies watch contains a Frontier module with either a dot-matrix Litronix display fitted to Pulsars or the 2nd generation alpha-numeric (angled) segment display used in the Hamiltons and Omega Constellation LED.
unfortunately even less robust than the mens modules from Frontier
