Newbie looking for help identifying LED Watch

Hello, my name is Rebecca and I recently came across this watch and purchased it on the spot as I found it to be very interesting. I think I have narrowed it down to being a Hughes but I am not certain. It works beautifully and one interesting feature is it says "your place or mine"when you push one of the buttons. It also says "1/20 10k Gold Filled Top and Stainless Steel Back and Duchess Made in the USA on the band. I am looking to put it up for sale and would like to price it accordingly. I apologize if this is not the right place for my inquiry and if that is the case perhaps some direction?

All the modules with fixed messages that I have have all been 25mm, (apart from the lets f*ck ones) the pre-programmable modules have been 29mm, this looks like a typical case for a Hughes 29mm module, did Hughes produce a fixed message 29mm module?

Thank you all for the warm welcome and information. I never thought I would belong to a Digital Watch Forum but hey, stranger things have happened in my lifetime. I am completely engrossed however as I am finding this a pretty interesting topic and I have always said, "the day I stop learning is the day I die". I have only the deepest respect and admiration for those who have passions that consume some of their time as opposed to staring at the television or calling random people to enlist for entertainment. Enjoying your own company suggest character and an element of depth in personality... to me anyway. In response to bucko170, I opened the back of the watch and am posting pictures. I could not find any type of markings or lettering whatsoever save for the circle with a 9/75 on the inside of the watch back. On the outside of the back it simply says "base metal bezel stainless steel back" and as far as I can tell that doesn't comply with the suggested Hudson Harris, or does it? I will however take your advise as to the asking price along with the make offer and again, thank you for your help and have a lovely evening. Rebecca

The 9 - 75 is the date stamp, so Sept' 1975.
I think this is probably going to be a Hughes model which would have been sold to company employees via the factory shop, I was wrong in my earlier post Hughes did produce 29mm modules with a built in message as photographed here http://www.ledwatches.net/photo-pages/hughes2.htm

I have an identical watch that also doesn't have any markings, it came in a Hughes stamped box ( http://www.dwf.nu/Gallery/displayimage. ... play_media ) Hughes did not produce watches to sell to the mass market, but did sell to employees via the company shop.

A watch like this was sold by sears also with the same band. Few members have this watch including me, nicknamed the "Golden doughnut"
Sears sold this watch in the mid 70s and the case back is well marked. Sears Roebuck & Co. Now, with the message module, that's a total different Animal. All point to Hughes Aircraft.
or a module being replace. We all know Sears never made watches neither Hughes Aircraft . for what I know Hughes put watches together and they where marked.

Thanks once again for all the help but I'm afraid I am more confused now than when I started. Has it been determined to be a Hughes? Is it the messaging component in this model that is causing the uncertainty or that it isn't marked? I have scoured the internet looking for similar watches and the closest I have came to it is the ones that have been presented here. Is it possible it's a copy or altered even a brief experiment by Hughes? Hmmmm.....

It would be impossible to say 100% that it is a Hughes because so many different manufacturers produced the same watch, the cases where purchased from one manufacturer, the modules from another and the watches where then assembled for whoever decided to sell them whether that be Sears Roebuck or Hudson Harris or anyone else to that matter, so based on the weight of evidence what we can conclude that -

The watch is a Hughes.

The module is a Hughes.

The watch was sold to employees via the factory shop.

The watch made September 1975.

Around the outer edge of the plastic carrier it should be stamped Hughes Aircraft Co and should also give the country it was made in, Mexico, Scotland etc.

I see you have the Hughes message watch on sale, you should announce it on the forum, you never know someone here might want it, I thought about making an offer but I need to be reducing the number of watches I have so I am trying to be strict with myself and not make an offer.

Thanks bucko120 I just announced this here under eBay per your suggestion. I have some more LED watches that I need to investigate along with tons of parts. I have been collecting all types of watches for the past ten years or so and have three huge boxes full of you name it. Hopefully you will lend your knowledge on those as well. I do appreciate it and perhaps I have something you need, parts or whatever I will be happy to reciprocate if I can.
