Trying to get my dad's watches working...

Hello! I'm very new to the world of digital watches, and had a few questions. You guys seem like the experts, so hopefully this one's easy. My dad just gave me a box of watches, mostly analog, a few old winding ones (including my great grandfather's waltham, I'm psyched about that one), and in and in it was a Texas Instruments model 101. This looks awesome, but he said he hadn't worn it since the late 70s and had taken the batteries out so's they wouldn't corrode, so I guess my first question is do you guys know what kind of battery these take? Also, is there anything I should be cautious of when booting it up? I took some pictures, in case they help. Thanks a bunch!

That Texas Instruments uses two 357 silver oxide batteries. I recommend you to use the Renata ones, they last for a good time and they are made with high quality. Remember to not use alkaline batteries on your LED watch! And always discharge your static electricity before you open the watch. If you don't want to open it by yourself, you can take it to a watchmaker.

Since your watch doesn't have the old batteries inside, you just have to put a pair of 357 silver oxide cells, and it'll probably spring back to life.

That's a nice TI, follow VPN advice, He is right, but batteries should be 386 not 357, All my TIs use 386 size. 357 will be too tall.
