Pulsar (what's it gonna make)

Post30 Oct 2012, 02:21

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-LED-Wat ... 35c11d0c5b

Questions /does anyone know....
1 Is this seller a member here?

2 Is that the proper/original box?

3 Although it looks S/S there's nothing to confirm it in the write up,except the edges and writing look gold ???

4 Anything else I may have missed???
Been wanting a good one of these in s/s for a while and don't want to come out of it dissapointed.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Looks nice 8-)

I am not convinced that the box is genuine, I have not seen that particular box in conjunction with an original watch before and it is not one that is shown on Lloyd's website http://www.theledwatch.com/ledwatches.htm I would ask the seller if it is genuine and/or bid assuming that it is a later addition.

I am not familiar with the seller but I did notice that his previous customers include two known collectors; Bruce Wegmann and Peter Wenzig, both left positive feedback so are seemingly happy with their purchase.

It looks to be SS to me, the photo of the case back looks to have a gold tint but I suspect that this is just the lighting, I would ask the seller before bidding just to be sure.

The seller has a 100% feedback rating and the item is well listed with nice photographs and a good description, it might be held back slightly because although the seller has stated in the description that international postage is available he has not included it as an option in the P&P section when making the listing which means the auction will only appear on USA eBay. At this moment in time the watch has attracted 17 bids from 4 different bidders and has 31 watchers. The SS version does not show up as often as the GF version and I have a feeling that this one is going to do well and I would guess that the winning bid is going to be in the region of $375.

Good luck if you decide to bid and don't forget to show it off on the forum if you are lucky enough to win.

BTW: Be aware that due to the item not being listed for international shipping your bid, as a UK bidder, might not be allowed! I would recommend contacting the seller and asking him to include the postage to the UK in the listing and trying a test bid to check that it goes through OK, you would have to actually submit a bid in order to test this as bids are only blocked on the very last click.

Thanks for the reply Bucko.. I thought the box was wrong but I'm with you it looks like a nice watch
and if it is a S/S one I think it may do even better, ESP if some don't know it's a more modern box (I think).
Wrong one anyway.... Any advance on $375 anyone????????
Anyway we'll have to see what happens, thanks again PETE W

I've done a few deals with this seller, both on and off ebay. He knows his stuff, and I'm happy with the deals. Seems to be a good guy. He usually have very clean and nice items. Even NOS.. He usually charges shipping only, no added charges there, but verify that with him directly.

I believe this to be a SS watch. I don't think that particular bracelet came in GF.

Hi it is the SS version as the SS bracelet is a different style to the GF version but the box is not correct - looks more of a modern Seiko owned Pulsar version.

Hi thanks for all the replies. Nice to know about sellers before hand.
So what does everyone think of the end price?
And no I didn't buy it, overspent this month already. !@@!

The end price is a bit high. I've bought 2 in the last year for less than this to get the quality I was after however I've just noticed who the seller is - I have had a few off Jim and the quality is excellent so you probably get what you pay for.

My guess was $66 to high, I suspect I would have been a little closer to the mark had the seller advertised on eBay UK.

A good reputation along with a good description and good photo's usually equates to a better than average selling price.
