Incoming Rado (update: it's here!)

Post17 Dec 2012, 23:07

Well I missed the stainless segtronic, but this is also nice :) Looking at the sellers pics, it is probably a tungsten bezel on a stainless case. Extra cool :)

Look at the difference in color between the case and the caseback. The case is darker, indicating it's probably tungsten, commonly seen with Rado Diastar models :)

Hij is leuk he :)

It's an ESA chronograph module, some are 24hr, some are 12hr. Being a Rado, I'm hoping for the 24hr version :)

I've got two more.

Yes, bottom left button is for the light. Pressing it three times activates the chrono. Or time when you are in chrono mode. In chrono mode it's the lap button. Top right is start/stop. Pressing both buttons is reset to zero. In time mode, pressing top right shows the date in stead of the running seconds, pressing it three times permanently shows the date. It's no Seiko ;-)

Yep :-) Most Seiko's of the seventies are easier to figure out. No "pressing the light button three times to activate the chrono".
Or did you ever try to set the first casio/tissot lcd watch....

I've got it :)

I cleaned the faceplate and accidently wiped the "swiss made" on the bottom of the dial, which was grubby anyway

The case is indeed of the "scratchfree" Tungsten Carbide.

I'm impressed with the Tungsten Carbide case, you could scrape that on cinder blocks and it won't leave a mark lol.

Nice watch find, and congrats, it cleaned up great.
