No, never. Sanyo's connection to Time Computer was limited to supplying the green LED displays for the 3416 Dress watch. Sanyo did make reed-switch-operated modules for Hamilton and a few other, less well-known makes. If you look closely, you can see what I believe is the Hamilton "H" logo just above the "9" on the quartz crystal can. I have a Hamilton Ladies' watch with this identical module inside. In order for the reeds to function reliably in either watch case, they had to be dimensionally identical, and so are physically interchangeable.

That explains it. Very nice to know. eBay auctions tend to disappear, so I copied the photos to Photobucket for later reference.
