Very nice watch of yours Mick. I'm developing at taste for this vintage watches with chapter rings, the Accutron astronaut is a cool watch, It screams Space age at any angle, M2 1962 and still running strong and keeping good time. Perfect size for my wrist. A truly example of American watchmaking and industrial design.

I am always on the look out for the date code M7 as it matches my date of birth and I think it would be cool to wear a watch as old as myself. I don't own the Seiko 'Earth' I just borrowed a photo from the web.
1967, a magic number, the in between of the old and the new. 1st unmanned Saturn V flight to test Apollo 4 reentry module. 1st Boeing 737 rolls out US launches Surveyor 6; makes soft landing on Moon Nov 9 BBC starts their own popular music radio station SST prototype "Concorde" 1st shown (France 1st British color TV broadcast. The list goes on, I found this because I'm just behind You, 1966 I had a 1967 VW beetle that was the first one to come with 12 volt instead the the usual 6v. It'll be nice to wear a watch of your date though.
1966 a good year, England won the football World Cup in July, I was born nine months later in April 1967 so I figure either my father wasn't a football fan and found other avenues of entertainment or he enjoyed the victory by, err.....well you know.
