Rare Pulsar prototypes?

Post19 Dec 2013, 10:25

Every time i go to the oldpulsars website it puzzles me whether that greenie Pulse model is real. Personally i think it is photoshopped...

http://www.oldpulsars.com/memodin.htm

Are there any other prototypes that exist? They also list "P5 prototype", "P2 prototype", "Plastic prototype" and others. Just curious if anyone has ever seen one? I guess we all know the P1 prototype , the ED/Hamilton one. But the others?

I´ve seen them all except for the green Pulse watch. However that would have been an easy task to produce as the display can be swapped 1:1 against a green Sanyo which Pulsar had anyway. I am sure they made a few green P2 crystals once the dress watch came out so it´s very likely that one existed.

Here's a Pulsar prototype...

The watch on the left is a P1 salesman's model. The one on the right is a non-functional mockup of an LCD model that never went into production. The interior is empty, filled with just a piece of paper with the time printed on it. I think it was hand made, possibly (probably?) by Mr. Wuischpard himself. I like to think of them as bookends.
