Is it worth what it sold for. Don't know if it works, the pusher can be tuned on a lathe otherwise complete, but 2000 USd! This is the most tasteful version I think.

Lots of money for a watch that might have been filled with a leaky battery and green crud and a dead display. If you'd have a working module though and a thick wallet it might be worth it?

finding a working module will cost more than the watch . best of luck with this one . the buyer will have a night mare ahead . just finding the button will be a nightmare

Buttons easy, I have friend with a micro lathe and he has made pushers for some of my watches at a cost. Anything physical can be fabricated including the case.

It's the electronics, LCD and microchip. Although the microchip could be replaced with the appropriate programmed chip a-la SASM.

The LCD, yep, now there is a problem. That one, looked suspect on one picture, outline in grey of some of the segments, but no bleeding, no rainbow (Newton ring) no melting crystals.

A gamble at 2000 but then cash is relative, 2000 may equal 2.00 to the buyer (not me)!

Of course, cleaning up the case and resurfacing it to spec, polishing scratches out of the crystal, adding new pusher, then res-listing it with a 1500 reserve with the following tag:

Watch stored after little wear. Battery removed by previous owner. Was working when stored. Don't have correct battery or ability to test watch. Sold as is

I know this guy from Brasil, bougt about 10 watches from me, it is a serious collector with a hughe collection of LCD/DSM and LED watches.
This man is not in need of money and buy what he likes, price does not matter.
I sold him a few boxed Nepro's, an Mido swiss sonic LED drivers watch, an dress Mido Led watch.

It's a very reliable customer.

Hello Guys,

This is Mario from Brazil.

I'm a DSM, LCD and LED watch collector.I bought those three 0614-5010 from Ebay.... I opened and cleaned all the circuits of the first one and ... bring it to life!
There's a button missing and some scratches on the crystal but I'll try to fix it with the other one (the italian with dead display).
If you have some interesting vintage watches for sale, please let me know!

Congratulations. I'm glad to hear that it's running - that was a pretty big gamble. The displays on these early Seikos are quite lovely - the shape and slant of the numerals makes them very readable and stylish.

Do have have any restoration plans now that it's working or will you just enjoy it as is?

I would have pulled the trigger also, but was away. I did bid 1000 but with butterflies

So glad it has come to life The button should be easy enough to turn on a micro lathe, and a a new cut glass would be easy enough to secure, although polishing the original is an option.

This is my favorite version, and one reason I purchased the Star Wars version. I was hoping To have both on display side by each
