My friend Knew a guy that had 5 in his collection in the UK ! I'd love one but not at $17000

Did anyone buy the one on Ebay? Perhaps the guy who has 10 now has 11?

No...actually, the guy who had 10, now has only nine (someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse). I know of at least 4 P1 owners in the UK; one with two, the others, one apiece...and, of course, there may be others I don't know about; I'd guess there are ten or so in the UK, with another dozen scattered across the rest of Europe, with perhaps one or two in Japan. All attempts to compile a list of owners, or even just the serial numbers of known watches, has been a futile exercise, due to paranoia fueled by one particular collector. Best total estimate I can make of known examples is 50, give or take a few. Doubtless some new specimens will surface in the next decade or two, but if the P1 population ever exceeds 75, I will be greatly surprised.
Update...the guy with nine now has 10 again, as of Dec. 18. :mega: :-D
