New Straps for old digitals

Post14 Sep 2014, 11:57

There is a snazzy Certina LCD on ebay with a distinctive orange strap (rubber , pvc?) which looks rather nice.

I wonder what members think of new non-traditional straps - coloured, kevlar, rubber, synthetic etc - for old LEDs and LCDs to jazz them up for wearing nowadays. It could add value and prestige, or is it an abomination in your view?

Abomination! Hey, you did ask... Consider; most of the appeal of the original LEDs in in their distinctive 70s styling (including the straps and bracelets). A modern/retro mix just wouldn't work well, IMHO.

Dang, that's the watch I'm looking for. Still want to hack it to give it some tritium backlight.
I have the original one, but it's broken. It has a very fine mesh band and looks great.
If you don't have an original or metal band, yours is the closest you can get if you want a sporty look.
Do a search for sensor on the board and you will find it. :-D

Hmmm, I've got a working sensor alarm somewhere.

About the Certina with the orange strap, it has a certain "look" but I'd rather have it with the original bracelet. Oh wait....

I've got one :mega:
