Display clarification

I thought that all original Pulsars had the display in which the numbers were created by a series of lighted dots. Further, I thought that newer replacement modules showed their display with numbers of solid lines. If I'm correct, it seems to me that most of the Pulsars offered for sale on Ebay are of the solid type and not the dots and, if my understanding is correct, the mention that these watches have the newer modules and not original is rarely mentioned. Am I missing something?

It depends which models you're looking at, the P1, P2, date 2, and P3 had dot displays, but others such as the executive, sport, big time, and ladies models had line display.

In addition, the replacement P2 and P3 modules use the original displays from your failed module. You basically trade in your failed module and the plastic carrier, display and reed switches are used to make your new module.

From the back it can be very hard to tell a modern replacement module, especially if the old QC has been left in place.
