Selling Prices Falling?

Post24 Jan 2015, 12:36

It appears to me that the selling prices for LED watches are falling anyone else noticed this?
Any guess for the reason why? Global recession? Changing fashions? Time of year? A combination of all or something else?

Where did my last post go ?

I have been selling on eBay for 17 years. March onwards is not so good.
Jan and Feb are the best months.

I just sold a nice P-2, ( link below ). I still see a seller listing this model and every regular Pulsar as rare. Not true !

Nice one dude but I don't think you made it's full potential price. You really must learn to list correctly.
I've read it several times and I can't for the life of me find the words RARE and ULTRA. Anywhere M:)W:)M M:)W:)M

Here is another example of what I'm talking about. A P-2 with a Neiman Marcus crystal listed as VERY VERY special ultra rare... Not true !
Bogus dodgy dealer sellers just making up descriptions to deceive buyers that don't know otherwise. It really is my pet hate.

Unfortunately this is not the case. I have owned many, and have seen lots over the years. This watch shouldn't be listed as very rare. A rare watch is a watch that can only be found in small numbers. The Neiman Marcus P2 is not one of these watches.

That's the difference... People who don't know think incorrectly and put rare on anything to try and sell a watch . People who know state the facts from years of research.

Yes I'm happy with my honestly is the best policy approach. I will never deceive and lie nor make up a description just to sell a watch. There have been people on this forum banned for these practises.

Yes that's because you are honest and have perfect feedback. There was a member on here called nipper, he was renowned for bad practises, and terrible spelling. Plus multiple eBay names so he could cover his tracks. All the serious collectors found out what he was up too. It's a shame naive ebayers bidders didn't. Just so glad he hasn't returned !

Here is another seller using the same ULTRA RARE description on a regular P2 ?
It's weird that the Neiman Marcus seller is using the same ULTRA RARE wording too. Maybe they are connected or both deceiving partners in LED crime.

Ha, the Marcus Neiman comes up for me on that page as 'other items I might like' not even 'other items from this seller'. Out of all the Pulsars it could have bought up, it brings up that one. Maybe because it too is 'ULTRA RARE'.
