Hi everyone,
Don't let the history fool you I've been a watch hobbyist for a while. I picked up a longines Gemini II this past weekend in good condition but I'm trying to get it running. I've read all I can find on a few sites but there's doesn't seem to be much on this watch and I need help with repair. When I put two batteries in the LCD comes on, then slowly fades off, the leds turn on when you bridge the batteries using something other than the case. I'm not afraid to take things apart and didn't see any signs of fried components when I took it part a little bit. However I don't want to get too in depth in disassembly if at all possible.
When you put the back on it bridges the two batteries together completing the circuit. The LCD display comes on (not all of it) and one of the led digits comes one. Here is the weird part,if you push the case back down the LCD turns off, if you pull it up a little and wiggle it different LCD digits turn on and off and so do some of the led digits.
Thanks in advance!
