Accuracy is high. After 15 days, no measurable drift, which means we are talking about less than 2 seconds a month. Will take several more months to get an actual figure.
Good job Hamilton.

thanks for sharing! How does the weight with battery compare to the P2 Stainless Steel? And when you say the quality is on another level, what improvements have they made? I do like the think crystal glass compared to the original.

The watch just feels overall a higher quality product. The crystal and butterfly clasp are the first thing you notice.
Finally i have pretty much the watch from 1972 but in brand new condition. No more rebrushed and repaired issues. This is what original owners had back then.
Im so pleased i made the purchase and especially the ltd model.
The display is a massive improvement , much more user friendly and a better look visually

Thanks for sharing, I can totally see your point! Seems overall they did a fantastic job in reengineering an iconic timepiece and faithfully reproducing this work of art with the hybrid display. Now you've got me thinking about acquiring one!

If I can believe https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/65757564_pulsar-p2-led-14kt-gold-filled-wrist-watch, the original P2 (gold filled which should be very close to stainless) is 99 grams. Someone with one on hand can verify
The PSR with an 8" band is 135 grams (I weighed mine)

Another improvement for me is the button action. Gone is the “ loose” feel of the original.Replaced with a definate two part movement . Push the button till yoU feel slight resistance , a damped mechanical feel till you press further , to light the display. There is a minuscule delay then it activates. It feels a better machined action than the original.
The whole development of this is excellent and obviously a lot of thought went in to its design. I like it better than the original if im honest. If

Ive been advised mines due in July.
As far as i can see, for me anyway every thing about the PSR is better than the original.Crystal, bracelet and clasp, water resistance, display , push button feel and the “Hamilton” logo, beautifully engraved, i always found the “pulsar” logo too big and sometimes not the best engraving finish.

Alright guys, I pulled the trigger and ordered the limited Gold PVD edition Pulsar PSR (with my wife's approval). Visiting their site today it's no longer a pre-order and is available now. This will be a first to get a brand spanking new "Pulsar" to add with my vintage collection, original box and all! Will post photos when I receive it. Thanks all for sharing your experiences, I really appreciate it!

regards,
Robert

So i have, both stainless “astronaut” and gold “ VIP” on order.
If anyone is thinking about the LTD, ive been advised by a retailer that even the allocated stock to them is not guaranteed , (in most cases one per retailer ) due to the demand......its a once only chance if your lucky.

Holly, looks like the sample models have a placeholder for the serial number for the limited edition gold PVD model and are probably not for sale. XXXX/1970.. see picture I screen grabbed from a Chinese review of the timepiece.

Looks like demand for the Stainless Steel version of the PSR is going well, I notice the Hamilton site now showing "Available Soon" for the SS model and to notify when available. The limited edition gold PVD is still available.

Here are more photos. Today I resized my watch band. I ordered the largest (size 9) to get the extra links. As you all know, vintage watchband links are always hard to come by so I just ordered the largest band size before additional charges and am keeping the extra links for spares. I must say the PSR is build solid compared to the vintage. As mentioned in the earlier posts you can see and feel the difference between the new and vintage. When adjusting the links there's not special direction of the link pins, you can remove them either direction. Just be very careful as there is a smaller flange tube (don't know what else to call it) that expands when inserting the pin and keeps the links together and it can be lost easily if you're not paying attention. Let me know if you'd like to see specific photos.

Adding one more photo. I wondered why the PSR came in a large box. It's because Hamilton added 9 complementary cloth Hamilton PSR collectable bags in the order.

That must only be with the gold edition, no bags with my stainless one.
