About a year ago i stumbled across an Omega Albatros. Not listed as Albatros or Montreal or Scoreboard by the auctioneer, it seemed to miss everyones searches, i won it £400. One of the pushers was missing, whilst nowhere near mint condition, it was wearable. Turns out, other than the pusher, it would eat batteries. Watch would run perfectly for approx 2 weeks then exhaust its batteries. After delving into the online info (especially crazywatches) my suspicion was on the crappity analogue motor. My guess was that motor was probably dry / gummed up and drawing excess current. Resisting the temptation to have a pusher fitted and stick it back in an auction - and lacking the ability to fix it, ( i have a history of "fixing " watches- they're "fixed" forever once i pull em apart) i decided to send it to Swiss Time Services , the UK approved Omega repairer. They fitted 3 x new pushers, serviced the module (not sure if they dismantle the analogue or just graft a new one to the board) fitted a new "winder". I then paid a bit extra for a light rebrush and new crystal . Total came to £1150 incl vat. The irony being add my original £400 and i could have probably bought a mint one off ebay. Though , this does have a 2 year warranty now

. STS are official agents for Omega, so will have Omegas support for spares. Swatch Group as a whole have become very arsey about spares now, only to official agents
