Cool. The bottom dial reminds me of the speedomoter in the '60's saloon in the film Duel, with Dennis Weaver and the evil truck... anyone remember that? That dial is so similar I'm sure!

Wonder if the seller gets stung by eBay for 'keyword spamming' for having 'not LED LCD' in the title...

Sure do I remember that movie, Steven Spielberg's first, one of my favourites http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067023, but not the speedometer, unfortunately.

Great watch. I love Lip's even when they're not LED's :) I'll be very supprised if it doesn't sell for a huge amount of cash by the time the auction ends.

Yep great film , genuine tension and yes it looks just like the speedo which if I remember struggled to get above about 65.

I'm going to take a guess but I think it'll go for more than any of his Jaz or Amida plastic (not very) fantastics. If it was just in better cosmetic I'd be tempted. Hmmm I could get it gold plated.....

The same seller sold another, similar Lip a few months back. It was a round case, but the same parking meter type hand arrangement, and slightly better condition, although not mint. That one reached about ?800, yes pounds, so that's why I think this one will get quite high. It'll be interesting to see just how high.

A perticularly wonderful example of 70's watchmaking, looks a very collectable watch. It will be interesting to see how high the bidding goes.
I like the unusual retrograde display similar to contempary Witenauers which are fetching ?1000+ depending on condition.
It does remind me of the linear speedos on 60's cars like the one on my first car.(Rover 3500 I had in the late 70's )
LED watches are cool!

That's a lot of cash. I prefer the plastic one myself, though it is SO early '80's looking.

I believe that any watch (and other items) that have a very particular look; 1964, 1967, 1973 and 1982-84 will always be a good investment as these years just keep coming round in the fashion stakes so if you sit and wait they will become trendy again.

I really want this one but it'll go for far more than I can afford - especially as I've just bought another watch and plan to go sniping again soon, very soon....

I'd love to know where he sources, he supplies more of these that the rest of ebay worldwide. Anyone dealt with him ?
