New LED watch bargin!

Post30 Mar 2007, 17:19

Hello, im new to the forum and am a big fan of LED watches.

I just picked up this new LED watch for £15! I've got three LED watches in total two modern ones and an 1970's one. This seem much more well built than the TX4 (red display) i also have, and i am really pleased with it. Sorry about the pictures they dont do the watch justice. One criticism i do have with it is the display is a little blurry, not as blurry as the pics make it look, but just not as sharpe as i would have liked.

Ive never seen this watch anywhere else so just wanted to know what people thought of it. It has the usual features of time and date with Am/PM indicators

Thanks for your time

Thanks, yes I found the four buttons a little odd for a watch with only two features! the first two do the usual, one for the time the other for the date. The third turns on all the leds (No use really accept for testing i guess) and the other one is used to set the watch when pressed with either the time or date button on the other side, which avoids the watch being accidentally reset while wearing.

Not a bad design, is it a Nixon? The blurry display is understandable since they seem to be using standard surface mount LED's, one per segment, and diffusers to shape the segments. For that price i'd buy one.

Thanks for looking, your insight into the display was really interesting, i dont know much about LED watches and wondered why it was like that. Its made by a company called 'identity london' (I had never heard of them either) they seem to make low cost fashion watches, but theres no mention of them on the web, I think this is the only LED watch they make

It seems such a strudy well made watch for the price, I paid many times that for my TX4 and although the screen was far more authentic, the watch its self felt a little cheap.
