Emailed HP and waiting for a response, ....

I surfed the net last week and left some emails at two watch crystal fabrication sites.

They both answered and one has yet to get back to me with another reply. They said after I queired their ability to produce red mineral crystals for the HP-01 in bulk or smaller supply that someone had already contacted them with the request.

If that someone is in this forum please email me at geoffqf@nospamtelus.net (of course remove the nospam). I was told they will be producing them as soon as they finalize the design concept but would not be able to reproduce the 'hewlett packard" logo as in the original without permission.

I have contacted HP by email and will persue the permission aspect as I think a limited production would be feasible for collectors. Any ideas or conceptual comments. Is the other person part of this forum?

That sounds great Geoff. Have they quoted a price yet? Somehow I don't feel confident about getting a response from HP, but hopefully you'll get lucky.

Still looking for the other HP 01 fan who has contacted the crystal people. On the positive side the email to HP was answered and has been forwarded to the department that deals with these matters,

At least I am one level into the HP company, we will see how far it goes.
