Post10 May 2007, 19:12

i have very occasionaly seen reference to these watches but how good are they?reliable? well made? and what about original cost and quality compared with other led watches? also did they do a touch sensitive model like pulsars sport? are they worth collecting or are they a cheap tacky product..

No they are great, they were one of the rarest and most sought after, someone in Spain has obviously unearthed a good haul of them, they are a good solid quality watch.

You emailed me and I never replied. I just found it in my spam folder for some reason. Ditto what leddwatch says. The modules in them were one of the most reliable of all the LED's back then. The build quality was very impressive. The timing on them were just incredible too. Maybe one reason was because their quartz crystals had a locking clamp on them.

Funny thing about those ones from Spain. I've had a number of these watches and I've never seen the bands on the ones that seller has on Ebay, and they are all the same type of band. They almost look like they belong to Orient LCD watches. Now Orient did use variations of bands on some of their cases, but these are kind of "light weight" compared to the bands that are on the Orients I have/have sold.

jeff
i have just received a catalogue print showing these orient watches ...sure enough the bands look identical to the ones available on e bay .the cat shows all the models that are available from the seller in spain and each watch has the corresponding band.so i would think they are all original.
buy the way they are incredible watches!

Interesting, since again, those bands just don't look like the ones that belong on those watches, nor do I like them. The bands on the watches I had were more 'LED looking". Usually new old stock stuff, such as this, came out at the tail end of production, so I guess they went with these bands.
