You might expand your search to include the steel type and have them plated to 10um which I think is the standard on the HP 01 gold plate version.

Any plating business in your yellow pages should be able to do it if you live in a big enough town. You know, the ones that replate silver plate or do automotive chrome plating. They are usallly able to plate in gold.

The other thing is the links come with a spring and small pin which is located in the centre of the link. These can go missing. I do have some steel links available which you can plate as long as you let me know which ones are missing as they taper. The second point is you can install these temporarily, as they will not show under the wrist, until you secure the gold ones.

markadam,

One other possibility is a bracelet expander, which can be purchased at most jewelry stores. It is held into the clasp with a regular watch pin and can add 1/2" or more in length. Unless you really look closely at them, they are often undetectable. They are inexpensive, and probably your best bet until you do locate more links. It is definitely a better choice than loosing your hand as the result of avascular necrosis (loss of blood flow) from a watchband that is acting as a tourniquet.
