Any guesses as to what this watch is?

What do you think?

A. Monstosity?
B. Quirky?
C. Elegant?
D. Other?

D. (Frankenstein's Monster) ;-)
If that reddish window isn't a solar cell it could be the hybrid LED+LCD module used in the Longines/Wittnauer Gemini in a ...errr... 70's watch case with a custom/self-(well)-made crystal.

For a second I thought one of you jokers brought up the picture of my watch http://dwf.nu/viewtopic.php?t=1369. MIne is a Bowmar LCD case with a Hughes Dual module and an odd bezel I got from the person I bought the modules from. I like it!! 8-)

Mick - I knew you'd put that second module to good use!

:-? Not a comment one on my new avatar? It's me playing bass,20 yrs. ago. Still at it, just bought two new toys this past week.

Oh no - just when I thought I'd come up with somthing unique, I find out that I've been beaten to the punch and I've only managed to create Frankenstein's monster mark 2

Congratulations it is indeed a Longines 'Gemini' module contained within a Hudson Harris case, the crystal is made out of a Tic Tac box and the watch face.......1200 grit sandpaper with windows cut out for the time displays - I used what I had at hand!!!

The modules came as part of watch deal sold to me by Ed and have been kicking around not being used, so I decided to get creative.

I did not see the pictures of Ed's earlier creation (honestly) although they are very similair, I can see why Ed thought I'd nicked his picture as a joke.

Regards Mick

It was easy to do, even for an amateur like me, and made good use of something that would of sat around otherwise gathering dust.

I kept all the original parts to the Hudson Harris so I can return it back to original if and when I want to (although the original module was broken)

I have a couple of spares Hughes dual modules - so there's time yet for me to come up with something original.

Regards Mick
