I think one cannot help the japanse more than by placing orders accompanied with the explanation that it is a supporting order and that you understand possible delays
It never occured to me to think of it that way Huerticella. It makes sense. I would like to add that a donation of any kind, money, blankets, etc. would also be very appreciated by the Japanese people. There are many agencies, even PayPal, that are organized in these efforts. But doing both - donating and buying- is even better.
Yes, I realize the disaster did not physically affect all of Japan but I have no idea where Seiko's factories, offices, headquarters, etc are located. I would assume the H.Q. is in Tokyo, which is out of range of this disaster, but that could be wrong too. Here in the USA many companies are headquartered in somewhat 'no name' areas, mainly beacuse it's less expensicve to do so. I'm sure this is a common practice for large companies world wide. Well, I seem to be rambling here...
You have given me something to think about Mr. H.!

Maybe I should make a concerted effort (a.k.a. - convince the wife) that we really need to support Seiko... uh, the Japanese economy at this time.
Maybe we
all should!
DWF to the rescue!
