Hi. The other day, a friend from the forum asked me to photograph a module. Unfortunately, it had a bit of a rough trip through the postage system... (note to self: bubble wrap).

The poor thing just crumbled to pieces... literally.
You know, I think that would make a real cool picture - maybe 8" x 11", matted and framed. Even better if it was a pic of an undamaged module. :idea:

Yes, silicon is not too flexible, is it?

In terms of posters, I've been playing around with some image stitching techniques for creating ultra high res macro images by stitching together a mosaic of individual images the way NASA does for space probes etc.

My plan is to create an ultra high res composite photo of my 25 chip P1 module. I think that would make a neat poster. It would also be neat to build a tiled image viewer (like Google Maps) so you could view these kinds of images online.

Here is a 21 megapixel image of that shattered module:

Below is a closeup of the chip with the color saturation boosted a bit for visual effect.
