Another rare box on eBay

Post10 Jul 2011, 01:51

Almost missed this one...the "See-Thru" P2 box....only the third one in five years. Item No. 320722666621. Box alone worth the auction price of the whole package. These seem to be nearly as rare as P1 boxes; here we see the inner box, sleeve, and silver outer box. Good ol' eBay; you have to either love them or hate 'em...right now, I love them! :-D

It was spotted but the seller only shipped to the USA so missed out on the UK bidding, I suspect it would of gone for much more had it been open to worldwide bids.

I also spotted the perspex/acrylic (whatever) cover lurking at the back of the "All About Your Pulsar" booklet.

Looks to be in great condition, definitely worth the selling price.

Yes, the seller missed out big time by not shipping out of the USA. I would have bid double for sure !

That's pretty cool. I saw the box too and thought it was a little bit odd, but it didn't even occur to me that it might be that rare.

The only problem is that now you've got another pesky stainless steel P2 that came along with the box that you have absolutely no use for. :-)

I suppose that's true, but I can always sell the watch (I'll be keeping the box, though!). ;-) It's worth reminding everybody...this is NOT a Time Computer box, just a generic plastic watch box that was modified with Pulsar details (by the factory, of course). This was certainly limited to the very beginning of P2 sales, when there was enormous presure to get watches out of the factory and onto wrists, and these were only used until the custom boxes that were designed for Time Computer went into production (probably the low-profile "blue box"). This makes number three...still don't have any clear idea how many others are out there; am sure of a couple, but after that...? BTW, does anyone know who designed the Pulsar BOXES? We know who designed the watches; was Jean a box designer, too?
