Breitling alternative.

I had some wires crossed appearantly and so had the following thought;
why not wear the Breitling co pilot bracelet as a watch??



One would only need a long enough bracelet and a connecting link for which there are several solutions.
Bit expensive though and totally out of perspective with say a Ventura. It is a clear illustration of Swiss luxury watch brand prices being out of whack.
Still; it woúld a quite different and stylish watch in it´s own right imo.

Very nice idea. I find it a great deal better than the originally intended use.
It would look a lot better on a watch with square case, or even a digital watch. On one of these "standard" oversized round round watches it simply doesn't match. Looks plain ugly IMVHO.

Thanks and yes, that is what I thought exactly.
Added to time, chrono, count down it is WR100 even, so would comply with ´82 US Navy dive watch criteria

It is very expensive though. It compares poorly with the Ventura Kappa.
No chance of finding a cheapo pre-owned either.

To be honest I wonder where Breitling sources both the bracelet and the module.

Citizen made an LCD in the '80s with the same possibility - the band is actually a freestanding LCD watch, so the analog watch could be dispensed with completely.

An expensive Brietling Chronographer, coupled with an LCD watch.....it reminds me of when I was a kid and I would caddy. Some people would get a cart AND a caddy. Overkill, IMO, but they are entitled to do as they wish.

In the case of Breitling, the LCD has all the functions one could want save for the slide rule and tachymeter.
Breitling did know how to solve that:



But the high end watch buyer appearantly is a me-too-wet-ape (aka monkeys and bananas) and digital is now only found in the tc ana-digi.
Make their mechanical line totally as those ana-digi are the serious tools.

On TZ-UK it runs in the 9th page of mainly hate mail for daring to suggest this.

The best of all is personally insulting indignation about it´s use for other than as a co-pilot watch by conservative souls who wear a Swiss luxury gas passing dive watch sitting at their desk
