Mr seiko has left the building

a watch with a story

purchased this one on ebay




when it arrived home i noticed something...there is no seiko sign on the frontplate. Checked the digital watch library and look for yourself

indeed no logo...Seiko kid !!!you stole the logo to put it in front of your name!!!! admit it!!

then i opened the watch




look closely..there is mr Seiko..he was hiding from .....

so i gave him a clean as usually and now he is shining..love the alarm sound.



still wondering how did it get in Iowa Usa.

I have one of these I have been trying to take apart to clean
but finding it a bit tricky. Any tips ?

look at my first blue background picture.

first open the back with a sharp knife..it clips open.

then look at the casepart left under on the first picture..you see a small gap ..then look at the actual (middle) module..it has a small horizontal spring on top and on the bottom.
you need to push the spring towards the module with a small flat screwdriver just in between the gap and then you can push it upwards.

yes, i had to do some thinking myself to open this one
