wittnauer Polara original?

Post29 Jan 2012, 21:03

Can someone please explain how this has to look original..is it a gloss finish or a little matt.

The case was really reddish glossy and the bracelet was with a matt finish. I give the case a matt finish so it's not so red anyore and fits better with the bracelet.
but i'm not shure how the sides and to small bezel around the glass have to be. Mirror or??

anyone has this one original and describe it for me.

i cannot describe it better :-D, i already brushed the case so i would be a little less red goldish and match better with the lighter matte finish of the band.

hi,
the issue with this Polara is that the case is 14K electroplate while the bracelet is rolled goldfilled 10K, moreover these watches tend to have a clearly visible color difference between the case and bracelet.
Pulsar also used the same approach but their cases were also goldfilled hence the difference is harder to see.

Your Polara should be brushed on the bracelet and on the top of the angled lugs of the case, the rest would be polished
