Thanks Bucko, I will have to start keeping an eye out for one of those for sale.

Brand name of unknown No.7 is "Micrel". Cheap base metal case and band with thin plating. Once I had one of these but kept the module only to transplant it to a nicer "Mercury Time" case.

Thank you LED, I have updated my post. If I remember correctly the Micrel had a different module to the Gruen or Mercury?

The module in the Micrel was a Frontier 2007. Which other alarm modules were made in the 70s?

I found one bad photo of the module, it's not a great photo but with the sealed QC it looks like a Litronix?
