By the way it is an Module from Fairchild and you can find it in sevaral brands of LED watches.

I have several, but non is 100 % working and I know it is difficult to work on.

Search for an replacement is the only way.

Hi Sherry,

I can confirm that this Fairchild version may be extraordinary unreliable. I had a few spare and all broke down although they were unused new old stock. I would suggest to replace it by another version with similar dimensions. There are other suitable Fairchild versions or other brands, for example I took a Commodore module for my Fairchild watch.

Ok, Thanks Jeurgen. Interestingly, I found these modules *more* reliable and less fragile than NSC ones! This one is original to the watch from 1975 (as is another I have, still working fine). I don't have a single of my original NSC-powered watches that hasn't failed at least a couple of times.

shure, may all as well be a matter of coincidence On the other hand I did never see an NSC module fail without reason. They don't like battery acid, but thats the same with almost any other LED module too.
