opening a Pulsar Back tool?

Post09 Jun 2012, 06:05

What would be a good back opener for a pulsar?

I just received my 3416-2 and it's a very cool watch!

I found a picture showing the back:

I found these models an Ebay and these things seem to be adjustable to any size. The first one is under $5 and the second one is under $10.

What do you think and that do you recommend?

Bruce Wegmann... :-|

Funny, very funny! M:)W:)M

Seriously, besides doing business with the ultimate Pulsar Kingpin, what would be a good alternative?

Did anyone on the forum work with the tools on the pictures?

You need to be very careful using either of those tools you suggested, if the back locking ring is tight you stand a pretty good chance of slipping and scratching the back.

a liitle tip if your rings been put on tight. a quick spray with wd-40 a quick heat up with hair dryer and they will turn with you no problems

Thank you, I will still look around for a good tool.
A 3 tip tool is better then a 2 tip I guess but will try to find others before I pick one up.

The bracelet on the watch is very long and even set to small it is a bit too big. I think the watch had two barcelet sizes offered, the normal size and the mammouth size for someone like the incredable Hulk!
I will need to setup some wrist workout sessions!

If this uses the same bracelet as the 3408 then Greg on the Forum may have spare bracelets in stock.

It might be worth asking eBay seller 'szergej2005' if he has any other Pulsar case back openers, see item number 160808938466.

The opening tools from Szergej are excellent. I open more than 10 watches per week and I hardly see any wear on them. Moreover I bought original Star Case openers when I was in Lancaster today :) Hanno.

Thank you Ade51, I sent a message to M.Greg Ratcliff on the forum to see if he can find a compatible bracelet.
Thank you also bucko170 and SASM, I contacted seller szergej2005 on EBay to see if he has something for this watch.

Best Regards

Actually NAPNAP Greg also use to have a supply of back wrenches. I think i had his last complete set of 4 (P2/P3, P4, Mens Dress, Ladies Dress) but he may have the odd one lying around. I'm assuming yours should also need the mens dress watch style.

Something unusual happened today, I received by courier a free opening tool for my dress green led by Bruce Wegmann.

Thank you M.Wegmann!

It still does not repair the fact that you gave me your word that you would replace my lost P2 Date II and never did but still is a honorable an appreciated gesture. Just hope one day to get this resolved and get you back talking on the forums.

Best regards

Philippe
