But what does "wide temp lc" mean exactly ?
The WW series, with their "Wide Temp LC", was an interesting line of G-Shocks released not too long after the first G-Shock model, the DW-5000. They features an LCD panel which could operate and remain visible across a much wider temperature range than normal LCDs (-30 degrees C to + 50 degrees C). Presumably it was to improve its usefulness in really cold climates (perhaps they had northern Japan in mind?), where LCD panels can become sluggish and difficult to read.
The two models released, WW-5100C and WW 5300C, weren't around for all that long, so they are quite rare (especially in excellent condition). They do crop up on eBay etc. from time to time in various conditions. Like many G-Shocks of this era, the rubber bezel and straps deteriorate with time, and whilst you can still get genuine Casio replacement straps, bezels have been out of production for a few years, and are extremely hard to get. I've seen them on Yahoo Japan auctions listed for > JPY25,000 (> USD 256.00!!!) -- just for a bezel -- which is pretty ridiculous. There is a company in Brazil that produces reproduction bezels and straps (I don't know whether they are actually made in Brazil, or they just import them from China), and they sell them on eBay regularly. I've never bought them myself, but from various reports, they aren't too bad, and if it's a matter of deciding to keep your G-Shock "naked" vs. having a reproduction bezel, I think many would choose the latter option.
Judging by the photo on this eBay sale link, it has one of the Brazilian (or other reproduction) bezels. You can tell the difference between them by looking at the font: the original Casio uses a bolder, thicker font, whereas the reproduction one uses a thinner font.
