P2 not working

Hi

I have a P2 and when I put batteries in the whole display lights up and flashes like its randomly running through all the numbers if I press the button it shows a time then goes back to running through the numbers. Any ideas welcome..

Sound like this could be a "latched" setting switch. Never seen that before, but it IS possible (the demand switches are susceptible to the same condition). Simply displaying the time (without pressing the button) is normal on power-up after changing batteries.
