Yes, i was the lucky winner.
I put out a bid taking in mind the state of the watch and it coming without boxes etc.
Maybe fresh batteries will help with the dim display.
It turned out to be the winning bid and it should be on it's way to the Netherlands soon.
And i think you are right it is worth the money.
I'm thinking of sending it to Hanno for repairs it does not look like there is much wrong with it.
And it seems to me would be worth restoring.
My other gold filled GP casquette suddenly got issues also while it has always worked fine.
I keep it boxed and has batteries in it i never wear it just sometimes push the button to watch the time and check for empty batteries.
It is now impossible to set the time with the set button, it runs and keeps time ones i insert new batteries (just not the right time).
In the beginning pressing the set button would make it go on "tilt" like a pinball machine and the display would stay on.
Now however it looks better it doesn't "tilt" and the display goes off normally again but it is still impossible to set.
So maybe Hanno can have a look at both...
I saw you scored a wonderful Macrolon version, the only version still missing in my collection.
Hopefully i will be able to find one for a descent prize myzelf, they are beautiful watches for sure.
Congratulations with that nice example.
He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.
The reason i collect watches is because it feels like i'm buying time.
