24 Hr. Hamilton QED II ?

Post07 Mar 2014, 07:11

Did they really made a Hamilton QED II 24HR. I just got this one, the seller stated it was 24hr. that it worked but didn't know how to set time
I thought it was only the start up after installing batteries that sometimes displays odd digits but is for real. Hamilton carrier, frontier module. this is odd.
I have to enjoy this.

Yes, Frontier did produce modules in 24hr time mode. If I remember correctly the Frontier 2005 modules could be put into 24hr mode by just adding a wire bond from the chip to the substrate. Not many customers of Frontier requested that mode of operation.

Thank Ole Joe, So that means is rare that's good news for me. heard before something like this about just connecting some wires to activate this mode on some modules,
it seems it not that simple and has to be done during production, Frontier cover the chip with silicon, try to remove that.
